Don’t forget our holiday party on Thursday, December 17th at Jen Shelby’s house (2105 Bristol Rd., Champaign).  Be sure to tell her who is coming, what you are bringing, and any beverage preference.  It should be fun!

Hopefully by the time you receive this email we will know the date of the 650 cases fruit delivery.  If you are not a seller, a donation of $200 to Sunrise Charitable Foundation would be much appreciated.

We are bell ringing for the Salvation Army on Saturday, December 19th at the North Prospect Walmart.

 

PROGRAM

David Thiel and Danda Beard of WILL-AM-FM-TV were our guests last week to discuss the shows this season on PBS.  As a side note, Dave Krchak is currently a member of the WILL Citizens Advisory Council, and Allan served on it for many years.

Season 3 of Sherlock Holmes premiers on January 1st.

Season 6 of Downton Abbey premiers on January 3rd, and this is the final season of this immensely popular series.

Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates, Jr. begins on January 5th.  Popular guests who have discovered their unusual family histories are Stephen King, Derek Jeter, Anderson Cooper, and Ken Burns.

Doc Martin begins its 7th season this year.

Mercy Street premiers on January 17th which is Civil War medical drama and is new this season.

Don’t forget to watch American Experience which is billed as TV’s most watched history series is coming up.  Featured shows are Bonnie and Clyde and Pilgrim Ancestors.

Other shows featured on PBS are Mr.Selfridge, Grantchester, Call the Midwife, and Ken Burns will be presenting a two-night look at Jackie Robinson. Check out the PBS website.
