ASSEMBLY

To meet our 6k club goal, each member needs to sell 15 cases or make a donation of $200.   Orders are due to Lou Simpson by November 19.    The fruit will be delivered during the week of December 6.  As in past years, you can pick up the fruit at the warehouse on N. Elm St.   Members are responsible for delivering the fruit that they sell.

We discussed membership development. Our new brochures are ready at Minute Man.  We can take them to Carly McCrory-McKay at Champaign Economic Development Corp. for distribution to newcomers.  Mary is District Membership Development Director and has offered to develop a card or brochure listing the locations and times that each of the Champaign Clubs meet.   We will divide up the “40 under 40′ list and approach them using their business addresses.  Jen and Cary will start an Instagram account for the club.

We concluded our business meeting and reconvened at Mattis Park for a tree planting in honor of former member Neal Chamberlain.   We were joined there by Neal’s wife Bernie and their family.
