Just getting back to work after a great District Conference! If you have never attended a district conference before, you are truly missing out. What a great way to meet and make new friends, learn new ways to help make your club grow by attending sessions on membership, fund-raising, and foundation. Listen to panels on district, rotaract, and student exchange. We also had new ideas presented like social media. We awarded certificates to our 50 plus members. Did you know we have a member that has been active for 75 years????
We heard from and met all of the great kids in the student exchange program as well as the GSE team from Italy. Raised much needed funds for Polio Plus and Shelter Box.
It was a great two days and I encourage anyone that has not attended to make sure to mark your calendar and attend next years District Conference, which will be Saturday and Sunday May 3rd and 4th 2014 in Champaign, IL.
One of the many new things that came out of the conference was a NEW District Grant Application. It is now available on the District website on the home page.
