Gov. Bidner has announced this coming years’ GSE program and we are looking for a Rotarian to take the lead and participate in the team leader position of this outstanding program. This could be the last year that we will have a GSE program as we know it. The exchange will be with Districts 2031/2032 in Italy. They are located in the north-western part of the country. The tentative departure time is May 14 and returning June 10, after their district conference. It will be the team leader’s responsibility to orientate the group and spearhead the details of this rewarding program in the months before the exchange. It also is a lifetime experience to lead the group during the exchange. Past leaders include; Joe Keller/Sullivan – Germany “12”, Steve Kite / Mattoon – Brazil “11” and Les Mitkos / Litchfield – Belgium / Luxembourg “10”. They can attest to the honor of heading such an expedition. It is a physically active program and the leader does have to possess electronic skills to facilitate the various communications needed. The interview process will be held shortly after the application deadlines. The selected team leader will then be involved with the interviews of the member candidates.
