Club president Tod Satterthwaite presents Janice McAteer of DSC a check for $5150
On September 25, 2014, C-U Sunrise Rotary Club presented a check for $5,150 to Developmental Services Center to purchase Boardmaker software. Club President Tod Satterthwaite presented the check to Janice MacAteer, Director of Development from DSC during our club meeting.
This software allows individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities the ability to communicate through visual support systems. “Boardmaker is a highly customizable representation of language that will meet the individual needs of each person who uses it” says MacAteer.
Rotary District 6490 is funding $2,000 of the cost through the 2014-15 District Grant Program and the balance of $3,150 is being funded by C-U Sunrise Rotary Club with money generated from our annual fundraiser of Holiday Citrus Fruit sales.
