One Winter’s Night

Things are hitting high gear in preparation for our annual One Winter Night. You probably know at least some things about our One Winter Night sleep outside event last year. Would you consider being a participant for us this year? The mayor, police chiefs and several pastors have agreed to take part so far. Please consider being a supporter of C-U at Home in this powerful way. The date is Friday, February 1, 2012.

We are asking participants to raise at least $1500 to help the homeless. We set up an individual Website for each participant to help with fundraising. One element we have added this year is business sponsorships ranging from $100 to $1000. These sponsorships that you could secure and other donations will be tallied together to hopefully get to $1500 or more for each box dweller.

The funds raised last year during OWN, almost $30,000, have been the majority of our budget to pay rent, utilities, buy medicines and bus passes and everything else to support the residents we are housing. We are hoping that OWN 2013 is once again successful in raising the funds we need to keep helping the most vulnerable homeless for another year.
