“When we quit thinking primarily about ourselves and our own self-preservation, we undergo a truly heroic transformation of consciousness.” ― Joseph Campbell

“I have become my own version of an optimist. If I can’t make it through one door, I’ll go through another door – or I’ll make a door. Something terrific will come no matter how dark the present.” ― Rabindranath Tagore

ANNOUNCEMENTS
(Notes provided by Allan Penwell).

There is no morning meeting on March 30th.  We are having a social at Krannert Uncorked on the same day at 5:30 p.m.  Come and join the fun – Ed Perry may even dance!

The All Rotary area meeting is set for 11:30am on April 26 at the Round Barn Center.  We will cancel our meeting that week (4/27) so please plan on attending the All Rotary meeting.

May 6-7 is the annual District 6490 Conference and this year it is conveniently held in Champaign.  Mark your calendars, and think about at least attending the lunch which is a great experience.

We have received a district grant of $1,200 for flowers at the Champaign County Nursing Home.  Expected completion is by Mother’s Day.  Phyllis and Lou will solicit volunteers in the near future.

Michelle noted that April 1st is a workday from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at Sola Gratia.  See Tod for further details.
